About Me

Hey there! I’m Jess.

I’m a digital strategist and aspiring product manager currently based in Melbourne, with experience spanning both the fast-paced world of tech startups and the structured environment of big 4 consulting.

My early career involved the exciting chaos of a tech startup, where I worked closely with senior leadership, wore multiple hats, and learned to problem-solve on the fly. It taught me what it means to be part of a tight-knit team—where creativity, adaptability, and a ‘figure-it-out’ attitude were key to making things happen. That startup was later acquired by Deloitte, where I was reintroduced to a world of structured processes, governance, and large-scale collaboration across complex stakeholder environments.

Navigating both worlds has given me a unique perspective on how to balance agility with structure. It’s fascinating to see how startups can move at lightning speed, iterating and innovating in real time, while larger organisations must carefully balance innovation with governance, risk controls, and executive alignment. I’ve found value in both approaches—but it’s safe to say I thrive in environments where I can work closely with product, move fast, and tackle real problems head-on.

I’m particularly passionate about keeping pace with advancing technologies, like GenAI, and exploring how we can design solutions that are not only innovative but truly centred around people and their needs.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me out for a run, on the tennis court, or catching up with friends over coffee (or a margarita!). Let’s absolutely connect—drop me a line at jlharley26@gmail.com to say hey or see how we can work together.
